Jeremy Lin Hurt By New York Knicks Lack of Interest

Has all this free agency drama hur the New York Knicks relationship with point guard Jeremy Lin. A report out of ESPN today says Lin is upset that he hasn't been offered a contract by the New York Knicks. Lin is expected to sign an offer sheet with the Houston Rockets. The New York Knicks are expected to match the deal and keep Lin in New York.

It's hard to believe that Linsanity could be coming to an end in New York. I still believe the Knicks will match any deal given to Jeremy Lin by another team. I just hope the Knicks relationship with Jeremy Lin has not been compromised. With other

free agents to sign, the New York Knicks turned their attention away from Lin. In a way the Knicks let another team, in this case the Houston Rockets, determine his fair market value. Was this a better move than offering Jeremy Lin a lowball contract and possibly hurting his feelings more?

The Knicks have been busy signing players like Jason Kidd, Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, J.R. Smith, and James White to complete the Knicks roster. The Knicks have a great situation with the roster they have established for 2012-2013.

Does Jeremy Lin owe anything to the New York Knicks? The Knicks did give him the ultimate chance and rewarded him with increased playing time. The team was also the only one to offer him a contract for last season. Lin does have a choice to stay in New York, but without being offered a contract by them, he has had to explore other options.

Here's hoping that the next few days clear up this mess, and the Knicks get a deal done.
